Certificates from the government including one for his Purple Heart signed by Secretary of the Navy Frank Knox, and an appointment as a Kentucky Colonel signed by governor Keen Johnson. Newspaper clippings about Pearl Harbor and the subsequent U.S.S. Arizona memorial are included.

William Franklin "Frank" Knox (January 1, 1874 – April 28, 1944) was an American politician, newspaper editor and publisher.
